Why is it not possible to voluntarily close a borrow/short farm position using the deposited collateral?
I realize there is liquidation if you go below the minimum collateral ratio which is similar concept, but liquidation generally involves some excess fees/penalty. It seems like it would be nice if you could just close a borrow/short farm position without having to go to the trouble of buying the right amount of the mAsset and then returning those purchased shares, and rather have the purchase costs taken out of the collateral. MIR could even charge a commission for executing the transaction which would support the platform.
People smarter than me have probably thought about this before, so there could be a really good reason this doesn’t exist. Thoughts?
